ZCA Online Event: Regulatory Developments and evolving Cyber Risks for Commodity Traders - September 29, 2021

Description:

Get an overview of new and upcoming regulatory requirements for commodity traders, including their implications. In addition to that, we will look into the increasing risk around cyber security and how commodity traders can protect themselves and mitigate risks.

Building Cyber Resilience
With the everevolving cyber threat landscape, the risk of significant disruption to operations caused by cyber events is becoming a major business risk to all companies operating complex infrastructure and logistics, therefore developing organizational capabilities to protect against, prepare for, rapidly respond to, and confidently recover from such events is crucial.

Regulatory Developments in EU and CH
In the coming years, several new sustainability/ESG related regulations will come into force in Switzerland and the EU: The counterproposal to the Responsible Business Initiative in Switzerland and related developments in the EU such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) or the supply chain law in Germany will result in increased transparency and due diligence requirements. These are likely to directly or indirectly – through demands of customers or financial institutions – impact commodity companies.
