We would like to inform you that a lunch and learn event on “Trading commodity derivatives – current regulatory developments in the US and Switzerland” takes place on Thursday, 21 September 2017

Trading in the derivatives commodity markets comes with an increasing number of obligations for commodity traders and end-users.

The first half of the event will discuss developments in US regulations impacting Swiss commodity trading firms active on US markets.

The second half of the event will discuss what obligations Swiss commodity trading firms must observe from a Swiss regulatory perspective when trading on foreign – in particular US – markets.

The two topics will be presented by:

Mr Fabien Carruzzo

Fabien Carruzzo is a partner with Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP in New York. Fabien coun-sels asset managers, investment funds, commodity traders and brokers, investment banks and other market participants on transactional and regulatory matters in the full spectrum of deriv-atives and structured products. Fabien also advises clients on the implementation of regulatory reforms affecting the derivatives and futures industry globally.

Mr Olivier Favre

Olivier Favre is a partner at Schellenberg Wittmer in Zurich. Olivier focuses on financial services, securities, commodities and fund regulation and advises clients on derivatives, structured fi-nance and capital markets transactions. He acts for a broad range of clients, including com-modity trading firms, financial institutions, buy-side firms, issuers, insurance companies and in-dustry associations.
