Orhan Gunes, Founder & managing Director, TradeQraft AG
Orhan is a distinguished commodity financier and banker with close to two decades of expertise in commodity trade finance. Renowned for his leadership, he spearheaded the growth of a highly successful commodity trade finance portfolio at Sberbank Switzerland AG, starting from inception. Throughout his career, Orhan has collaborated with leading global commodity traders, as well as mid-sized and smaller trading firms worldwide, across energy, metals, minerals, and agricultural sectors. His professional journey encompasses roles across four banks in the Netherlands and Switzerland—such as Credit Europe Bank, Amsterdam Trade Bank, Sberbank Switzerland, and TradeXBank where he showcased his entrepreneurial acumen by establishing new business lines and portfolios.
Educated at Bosphorus University (BA in Political Science and International Relations), ESCP Business School (Master’s in European Management from London and Torino), and an Executive MBA graduate from Oxford University’s Said Business School, Orhan is also a member of Kellogg College at the University of Oxford.


Deia Markova, Managing Director, Head of Trade & Sustainable Commodity Finance, Sociate Generale
Deia is appointed Head of Trade & Sustainable Commodity Finance in Switzerland in January 2020. She started her career in 2001 at Societe Generale in Paris in the Corporate Finance Advisory department and later joined the Structured Commodity Finance team with a focus on Metals & Mining customers in Russia and the CIS region. From 2014 to 2017, Deia headed the corporate lending business of Sberbank (Switzerland), with a focus on commodity producers and traders. In 2018, she joined SG Zurich, in charge of impact-based financing solutions aimed at the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. In January 2020, Deia was appointed Head of Trade Commodity Finance in Switzerland and joined the Executive Committee of SG Zurich. Since early 2024, she is also member of the Executive Board of SuisseNégoce. Deia holds a Master of Science in Finance from Panthéon-Assas University Paris and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in International Business Law from University of St. Gallen.


Muriel Schwab, Managing Partner, Blue Oak Sàrl
Muriel is the founder of Blue Oak, a boutique consultancy firm helping commodities companies to enhance their corporate governance, finance and access to external capital through sustainability for long-term value creation. Muriel has over 20-year experience in the commodities sector working for leading energy firms and banks in Asia, North America, and Europe. In her previous roles, she served as Group CFO at Gunvor Group Ltd in Geneva, and Managing Director, Head of Commodities Finance for the Americas at Rabobank in New York. She holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD and a Master of Advanced Management from Yale University.


Peter Ullmann, International Trade and Risk Advisor, Investor, Magistrate
Peter has over 40 years’ experience of financing commodities, having lived and worked in Brazil, The Netherlands, Switzerland, and Russia. He is the founder of Trade Risk Resources, which advises governments and European and US clients on commodity credit and compliance risks. He also sits as an external advisor on several investment committees. Prior to this Peter was a Management Board member of Amsterdam Trade Bank, a Board member of The Pensions Regulator, and had a long career in banking including ABN AMRO, Fortis, and Mees Pierson.

The panel will be moderated by Harris Antoniou, Founder and Managing Director, Codrus Capital AG
Harris is the Founder and Managing Director of Neptune Maritime Leasing Ltd, a company established to transform the maritime leasing space, and provide access to funding for the fleet renewal required to decarbonize the global merchant fleet.
Harris is also the founder and Managing Director of Codrus Capital AG, a company focusing on transformative investments and advice in high impact technologies and real assets. Currently an Investor and Board member of Natech SA, a rapidly growing financial software firm that builds and operates 360º Financial Software Solutions Serving Banks, Fintechs, E-money Institutions & Companies.
In 2021 Harris, as a Partner and Member of the Board of Advent Technologies Inc., a leading producer of fuel cells and core materials components and processes that revolutionize the energy sector, led the private placement round of the company in 2021 and its merger with Nasdaq listed AMCI Acquisition Corp.
Over the last 25 years Harris has held various executive and management positions in leading institutions in the financial sector. He served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Board of Amsterdam Trade Bank from March 2016 to February 2020. Previously he was the Chief Executive Officer of AMCI – a private group that focusses on mining projects and operations, trading, transportation, and private equity investments.
