Decarbonization will be one of the megatrends that will shape the maritime industry over the next decades, especially in light of the new IMO Greenhouse gas strategy.
As we head toward 2050, our industry still faces considerable uncertainty in changing markets, regulatory changes; new technologies, and the effects of digitalization.
During this DNV GL presentation we will provide an independent forecast of the maritime energy future and examine how the energy transition will affect the industry. We will highlight main developments and changes regarding shipping activity and fuel consumption and project the development in goods to be transported towards 2050.
