The following two speakers will share their knowledge with us:

Mr Jorne Langelaan, Dutch Captain
For thousands of years the sailing vessel was the only, and emission free, option for long distance shipping. In the 19th century that all changed when burning fossil fuels replaced the wind as source of energy. This is the story of shipping through the ages, and offers a view on how to make global logistics, sustainable again.

Ms Luisa Rodriguez, Transport Section of UNCTAD
