Mathias Bucher
Dr. Mathias Bucher founded Diamond Digital AG, the company behind MatterSphere, in 2017, and is currently lecturing blockchain technologies at IFZ/ HSLU. Mathias has spent the last five years working on cutting-edge enterprise use cases for blockchain technology in collaboration with companies such as SIX Group, Zurich Cantonal Bank, and Swisscom, as well as for large international organizations. Before that, Mathias worked in the quantitative hedge fund industry for over a decade, and founded an award-winning hedge fund with a focus on a diversified commodity portfolio with self-developed, computer-based trading systems. Mathias was also a founding board member of the Web3 Foundation (Polkadot ecosystem). He has a Doctorate in Finance of the University of Zurich with a focus on Evolutionary Finance.

Rene Van Der Kam
Mr. Rene Van der Kam has over 20 years of experience in the metal merchants business, and is the co-founder and director of Viant Commodities. Viant Commodities is a global metals trading company with offices in Singapore, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Zug, Switzerland. Mr. Van der Kam is also Chairman of ICDX Tin Committee. Previously, he was the global head of the Gunvor Group metals division, and has worked at Enron, Sempra, JP Morgan and Noble in global trading positions.
